Pinned thread. This is the rule that does not have exceptions on this forum: a wallet support discussion never requires your seed phrase, your private key, your password, your 2FA backup code or remote access to your device.

Anyone asking for these items is not helping. There is no “verification”, no “sync”, no “manual recovery”, no “safe restore” that needs them. The legitimate troubleshooting surface uses public data only.

Section 1

What public data covers

  • Network name, public wallet address, transaction hash, public explorer link, approximate time, expected outcome, observed outcome.
  • Browser, operating system, wallet app version (if relevant) and any visible error message — with secrets removed from screenshots.
Section 2

Common scam patterns

  • A “support agent” reaches out first via DM after you posted publicly. Real forum help does not chase you in private.
  • A form, link or chat asks you to “import” or “validate” your seed phrase. There is no honest reason to ever paste a seed phrase outside a wallet app you control.
  • A “refund tool” or “recovery service” asks for the seed phrase first. This is theft, not recovery.
Section 3

What to do if you already shared a secret

  • Assume the wallet is compromised. Move remaining assets to a new wallet generated on a clean device, with a new seed phrase that you alone control.
  • Do not reuse the compromised seed phrase anywhere.
  • Treat the incident as a learning event: write down what you saw, how the request was framed, and how you would recognise it next time.
